I recently overwrote a Word file and lost several pages of work. When researching if there was a way to recover it, I came across this website and I WAS able to recover my entire document. I save my work often, but at the time I did not have Word saving backup files. I had the autosave feature on, but not "always create backup copy" turned on. I don't know if that made a difference or not, I just know that I was able to recover my file!!

Great resource! Thanks for posting that--that "OH, NO!" moment and the accompanying sinking feeling from a lost Word file seems to be a perennial problem in this business. You are definitely not alone in pulling your hair out over that one.
