I have more starting with b (bilateral), cw (consistent with), l (left), and r (right) but didn't want to make this too long and personal. I also have iridocorneal endothelial syndrome with several abbreviations because I am usually thru my abbreviation for that word before I remember my other abbreviation. Hate that one.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Harrie - thanx for the congrats. This will actually be my fifth grandchild, but you are right in that I babysit three of them 4-5 days a week.
Harrie
OMG, you really must be a bundle of energy and good health, Judy! All that babysitting would definitely give me chronic fatigue syndrome! LOL! (I'm really kidding)!

Oh geeez, one should have every syndrome known to man, if possible! Ha! No, I don't have every one, believe me. Here are just a few, though. Let's keep the syndrome thread going, too!

acs = acute coronary syndrome
visy = viral syndrome
bcs = Budd-Chiari syndrome
bssy = Brown-Séquard syndrome
casyn = carcinoid syndrome
chsyn = Chilaiditi syndrome
cosyn = coronary syndrome
dosy = Down syndrome
masyn = Marfan syndrome
mosyn = moyamoya syndrome
musy = Münchhausen syndrome
gbsy = Guillain-Barré syndrome
mysy = myelodysplastic syndrome
Judy
OK. I will add a few more. They may be confusing to some, though, cuz I add extra letters to some and not others. Makes sense only to me, but anyone can personalize them.

albs = acute low back syndrome
acs = anterior compartment syndrome
aisy = anterior impingement syndrome
ains = anterior interosseous nerve syndrome
atss = anterior tarsal tunnel syndrome
atcs = anterior tibial compartment syndrome
ats = anterior tibial syndrome
alis = anterolateral impingement syndrome
cdos = cervical dorsal outlet syndrome
crs = cervical rib syndrome
cgs = cervicogenic syndrome
cosy = compartment syndrome
ccsy = chronic compartment syndrome
chps = chronic heel pain syndrome
dss = droopy shoulder syndrome
ensy = entrapment syndrome
oss = occupational stress syndrome
pfps = patellofemoral pain syndrome
pfssy = patellofemoral stress syndrome
rts = radial tunnel syndrome
rcis = rotator cuff impingement syndrome
sijs = sacroiliac joint syndrome
sjsy = Sjögren syndrome
stsy = Stickler syndrome
sms = symptom magnification syndrome
vsy = vertebral subluxation syndrome

I think I have more than one syndrome, Harrie. CFS is only one of them. happy.gif I think I have OSS too along with a few others from time to time. Today I have DWTWS (don't want to work syndrome). Do you have a cure? My doctors don't recognize that one.
Harrie
LOL, what a shame that they don't recognize it! Do I have a cure?? Heck no, I have the very same DWTWS running rampant on me today!

Thanks so much for the lists. Stickler syndrome, LOL. I'm going to have to look that one up out of curiosity!

Georg, I'm beginning to "count" on you now! I do enjoy your add-ons very much. They're great!
Judy
Great, Georg - a few more cw to add to my list. Thanx.

Harrie - I had to look up your Moyamoya syndrome too. Strange how we all have different ones. I have never heard Münchhausen syndrome except on Law and Order.

I have syndromes in there that I have only used once. At times want to delete them but will keep them until they interfere. I tend to use ortho and eye with a few others thrown in for specialties I do on an occasional basis. No premenstrual syndrome on my IT.
Harrie
I think I've actually typed Münchhausen syndrome maybe twice in twenty years! lol.gif lol.gif I've read about it though......wow, talk about weird!
georg
Had to add today:
irs = insulin resistance syndrome
cwirs = consistent with insulin resistance syndrome
