This won't be a long post, LOL! But I like these, they work well for me!

wnot = would not
cnot = could not
snot = should not
carolT
Harrie, I can't type would, could, or should correctly to save my life, but I can't type not either -- I wuold (see?) have to make these wont, cont, and shont....

and I can't even put in ont to correct to not because, of course, ont is the abbreviation for the province I live in! maybe I'll go with an earlier suggestion (can't remember whose) and use nn for not, then wnn, cnn, and shnn (and hope none of my patients fall off the couch and dislocate a shoulder while watching the news....) LOL

Off to update the dictionary!

LOL, Carol, you make me grin! I know what you mean about could, would, and should! I swear there's something unnatural about typing them! oneeyed.gif

Hey, that wnn, cnn, shnn business sounds good, very workable! ROTF about the news remark. That was funny! lol.gif lol.gif

PS: You know what else I like along the same vein?

lbit = little bit

I have lib for little bit- I have one doc who says that in every dictation.

Try wud, cud, sud or shud for would, could, and should. No waffling on vowels then.

I have a really unusual one.

itty = itty-bitty

This from a female plastic surgeon who is now in her 70s and has always been a bit of a free spirit. She has her own, utterly unique, style of doctoring -- and describing what she does. I have not yet been able to find the medical definition for itty-bitty, but she uses it a lot!

Why both t's? you ask. Because my fingers have to put them both there! I could NOT type the short with only one t. I run into this problem a lot -- even though I do have a sort of system for two-word phrases (or long single words), it often turns out that my fingers just WILL not type them, so I take the most common "mistake" and turn it into the short.
