I'm in the very beginnings of building up my shortcut library with things that make sense to my twisted mind I adopted Mary Ann's system of VHEADER for shortcutting my headers, and that's a blessing!

Tomorrow, I'll be thinking about phrases, though - now that I've seen that thread!

It's Tonks as in Tonkinese cats - one of which is looking at you as my avatar. Having bred and shown Tonkinese for 10 years, I think Rowlings should probably have gone for Nymphomaniac Tonks if she wanted to be accurate, but I guess she had to adjust things a little for a children's book series. Of course, Entrechat Ted Shawn, who is sitting on my lap right now, is nicknamed Theodorable, so maybe she was thinking more along those lines.

I agree about x-ray! Its xx for me, too. The other one I hate to type is symptoms - I make it ss and sm for the singular. I would've used the ABCZ shortcut, but it makes too many letters for a short word.

I wonder if any of us ever type out the whole of "x-ray!"
