We have changed to a new version of Chartscript. There are now "import markers" that I keep inadvertently deleting. The first few jobs I sent in, when I got the error message about the import markers, I clicked yes I did want to send the work without them. Then I sent jobs where I followed the screen instructions on how to put them back in. Both jobs with and w/o the import markers were in the system and looked perfect.
Does anyone know what these do? Are they necessary?

I found this in our Chartscript help section (I could not find the version).
Marker codes
Document marker codes control where Chartscript inserts special information in documents, including;
CC list
Import section
Status line
Attending status line
Multi section import
Addendum keep section
I think that you would see the text you typed whether or not the markers were there and that they are important.
Are you deleting them because they are invisible? There is a way to fix that, when you are in a document go to tools, click on options, click on view, make sure bookmarks is checked. Those are the markers that sit at the bottom of your document and should look like this:
[unreviewed
]
dictator name would be here
|
[cc: ]
When the dictator electronically signs the note the unreviewed will go away and be replaced by
ELECTRONICALLY SIGNED BY
Doc name, date/time
I hope this is what you meant!
You want to be careful & stay within the import markers with your text; it looks fine when uploaded / printed but if you have providers using WebESA, they will see, edit and sign the report and upon final upload, that is when the text disappears. The report will print out with the header/footer & signature line but the body of the report will be gone and will need to be typed again.
