Okay, short common words such as and, the, etc. Does anyone use a shortcut for these? I'm just wondering if it's
worth it or not. TIA!

Hi there!

Well, to me it is worth it to make shortcuts for the short-word combos, such as "to the" and "and the," as well as "for the," "from the," "within the," "at the," "in the," and "with the". It definitely is. If a lone word is at least 4 letters, I have a shortcut for it also. For instance, I have one for the word "from."

Thanks, Harrie. That makes sense. Is there a list of these kinds of combos anywhere (besides the ones you mentioned) that I could use to make my shortcuts?
Harrie
I'm not sure if there is or not; probably. Try a search for them. But look, the best thing you can do is just look through this entire section, with the English abbreviations and everything, and see what just may strike you. And, I made rather strange shorts for mine that just made sense for me and didn't conflict with things I already had, and you'll likely want to do the same. A good suggestion I got from Cheryl Flanders was using a double letter just to make it quick and easy for your fingers - so for instance, I use "gg" for "and the" - find what feels good and easy and quick, and if they are plenty strange, just write them down so you can see them until you use them for a day or two - then it'll already be ingrained. When the board was in its earlier days, lists were often done in the Tips and Tricks section, by the way.
