This is 14tonks' complete list of Windows settings suggestions for aging eyes. Make changes in the order listed as Accessibility changes overwrite other choices.

First, go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Accessibility, and run the Wizard. Select large window titles and menus. Select change the font size. Select I am blind or have difficulty seeing things on screen. Select at least one size up from smallest for window border size. Select large icons. Keep your current scheme. Select at least one size from smallest for your mouse/cursor. Leave blink rate as you have it. Click Finish.

Then click Start, Control Panel, Display, Appearance tab, click Advanced, and under Item choose Caption Button and change the size to about 30. That will fix the mini icons in your tray and on your QuickLaunch and other taskbar menus that changing the dpi setting in the next step won't affect.

Then to increase the size of other objects and text on your screen, on the Settings tab in Display, click Advanced. On the General tab, in the DPI setting list, click the 120 dots per inch (dpi) setting. (The new dpi size you specify will affect all monitors attached to your computer and all users that log on to the computer.) Restart your computer when prompted.

After Windows restarts, look at things and fine tune as desired
