This is just a short SH dictionary of some websites. It's not meant to be an exhaustive list of sites or anything. We all know of so many valuable sites for MT. It's really more of a starter website dictionary for anyone who wants it. And you can quickly add your favorite sites to it by first copying the URL you want, then right clicking on any existing entry in the dictionary now and choosing "duplicate." Then, just delete the URL that's in between the quotation marks and paste in the one you copied, and give it a different keyword.

For anyone interested, I had found out from SH Help quite awhile ago that the tag:

{@KEY alt+tab}{@NOSPACE}

...is needed for the IE browser. Otherwise, sites don't open from your document maximized. So that's in all the entries. I had previously thought Firefox was no problem at all opening maximized without it, and it isn't, so long as FF is closed in the first place. So I duplicated this dictionary, but took the alt-tab code out. Then, I found out that if FF is currently already open, there is a problem! It opens two and it leaves them not maximized. lol.gif So I think I'll work on figuring that out next week, maybe! Hopefully, I can get one up for FF users.

Feel free to change the short forms to anything that works for you. I made them kind of long on purpose. With the suggestion window, you get to see them after one or two letters.

Harrie I am loving this!!! I just snagged this and gave it a quick try and now I know what I'm working on this weekend! I'll be spending plenty of time adding my bookmarked MT sites in, should help keep me way more focused during the workday to have these sites at my fingertips.

When typing the keyword it stays in the document so I added {@KEY Ctrl+BkSp} at the end of the entries and so far it is working at deleting the keyword after opening the browser window. This was just a test document so I'll know better on Monday if it really works when I'm on the job.

Thanks again for the website/forum. I am grabbing things up right and left. I feel kinda guilty cause y'all seem to have covered it all already don't know what I'd ever have to contribute! (well maybe that backspace tip up there is a contribution, who knows? lol.gif )

Hi, Roodie! Hey, if the keyword is staying in your document, your offering is a definite, definite contribution. Thanks! And I'm glad you're finding it useful. I agree, Shorthand does this quite nicely; so useful.

Thank you for this Harrie. I did not even have any idea Shorthand could open webpages for me. I'm sure I will be using it a lot.
