I'm mostly a Word user, but I was using WP for a little while before that office switched to Word, and I got some really helpful information and tips from several folks, including Carol Reese (about WP51), Mike DeTuri, and Barry MacDonnell, as well as the WordPerfect Universe forums.
Check here for line counting and other WP macros: Mike Deturi's Writing Page Also, IT and Shorthand users, as well as possibly other type expanders, click on "programs" and then "ABCreate" at that same page for a new program to work with those expanders, it's awesome!
Back to macro-talking......also, check this site for many WP macros, and in particular, I believe there is one called line counter (though I'm not familiar with using that), and one called MakeSubs. It's a gem I used for finishing all my work, and then using it to rapidly count all words in all documents, and make a very nice print-out for me, too! Most people don't have to count words, but perhaps some of you do. You'll notice a tip box on that site, although there is no requirement at all to make a donation, but I mention it because personally, I thank the stars for these types of people and so....I'm mentioning it! :grin :grin
