I think a lot of us have discovered how great "it" works for "itis" words, as in derit expands to dermatitis. We had a thread on that previously.

Well, I don't think words ending in osis are quite as common, but they sure are out there a lot. I was just thinking that I have nothing for those, and I'm going to change that. I'm going to make it first three letters of the word and os. So, ichos wuld expand to ichthyosis.

Do you already have a system for words ending in "osis?"

Excuse me while I go do a lot of things to my expander!

"it" at the end...how simple! how perfect! I used "j" because it doesn't get used very often and that is my hubby's name, and I get very inflamed with him at times biggrin.gif I will have to give the osis some thought, I have dx for diagnosis but that is from my former MA days.

Yep, it for itis is a boon! Check out how Paula went to town on them, Lazy!

Itis thread

Well, I added plenty of those osis words with that os system today. In some instances it was more letters than what I already have for osis words, yet, I find that a real and true system, just like for itis words, flies off the hands because it becomes so simple and fixed in your mind. So, I made quite a few, and I'll see how it works out! May not be for everybody. These endings come well to my mind, though. Also love yy for ology words! There's a thread on that somewhere here, as well! biggrin.gif

Now, I must go check out what Carol is obsessing about! toothless.gif
